I'm sick and had nothing better to do on NYE than look for even more book blogs to follow and I stumbled upon Parajunkee.com and her Book Blogger's Challenge. We'll see if I'm able to keep up with the challenge of posting for 14 straight days! Seems like a good challenge and a good exercise for me as I try to get my blog moving forward, right?
Here are my Book Blogger Resolutions for 2014
- Post one review a week so hopefully a year from now there are 52 reviews.
- Post a quote once a week that inspires me.
- Post a rundown of my week in media in Saturday Snapshots.
- Promote local bookish events.
Seems like a strong start to 2014!
I'm determined to be a better book blogger this year too! So glad you're doing this challenge too, and I love your goal of posting a quote a week that inspires you! Good luck with all your resolutions and I'll dtop by as the challenge goes on!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have some great resolutions! Have a great new year. Lacie @ Rainy Dayz Reviewz
ReplyDeleteI like your inspirational quote a week idea - I find so many throughout the week and while I'll sometime remember to tweet them more often then not I'm like "Does anyone remember that quote I'm trying to remember?"
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your resolutions!!
As an English major, I love quotes! I wish I was braver about marking my books up so I can find quotes later.
DeleteI don't think I ever manage one review a week. Real life always winds up grabbing me and taking me away from the online world *sigh*
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your resolutions. I like the last one about promoting local book events. I wish there was a blog near me doing the same!
Happy new year!

I'm hoping with the scheduling of posts I can manage 1 review a week. We'll see what happens. I'm a newbie so I might have some expectations that are beyond my ken!
DeleteIts so nice to read everyone's posts about resolutions. We all have similar goals but yet we all have some different ones. Good luck
ReplyDeleteHi, you have some good ideas especially the promoting local events.
ReplyDeleteSome great ideas and challenges looking forward to checking in with you and seeing what this year holds.
ReplyDeleteThose sound like some great resolutions and hopefully will be easily accomplished. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteLocal bookish events - that sounds fun! Good luck with those goals!

Best of luck on your goals! Where are you located? I wish I knew bloggers near me, as I'd love to attend events with them (instead of a bratty, hyperactive toddler with a candy addiction).
ReplyDeleteI live in Marion, Iowa. It's just on the outskirts of Cedar Rapids.
DeleteWell, Terri, you're off to a good start with the 14 Day challenge. No doubt that it will help you to hone your blogging skills and will help you fulfil your resolutions for 2014. Don't be afraid to stir up the opinions of your readers. A common complaint is that most social networks are echo chambers. A great blog should be more than a lot of thumbs ups, etc. I'm enjoying you reviews and look forward to reading more. Sincerely, Joe
